LEND Program Director, Dr. Miya Asato, Participates in Clinic For Special Children – Epilepsy Family Day

Epilepsy Family Day was held in Strasburg, PA, at the Clinic For Special Children as an initiative to connect with rural communities to provide a family-centered education about neurodevelopmental conditions. Dr. Asato gave a speech focused on pediatric epilepsy, and its impact on development and behavior. To read more about her current work, click here.  

 

The Clinic for Special Children is a medical home designed to give children with complex genetic diseases a place to receive the primary pediatric care they need in an accessible, comfortable, and informed environment. Their primary, though not exclusive focus, is on treating the uninsured Amish and Mennonite communities of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
