LEND Faculty, Dr. Steve Bagnato, Co-Chairs 2017 PSU-Pitt Education Summit
LEND Faculty, Stephen Bagnato, EdD, NCSP, recently participated as a co-chair at Pitt and Penn State’s second annual education summit, "Re-Inventing Tomorrow’s Schools: Innovations in Pennsylvania through Community-University Partnerships”, held June 15-16th at Penn State University Park Campus. The summit aimed to explore and focus on increasing networking and research opportunities amongst interdisciplinary service professionals, as well as implications for public policy and best practices. By engaging with their respective communities and each other, Pitt and Penn State seek to forge community and academic partnerships.
Dr. Bagnato is an Applied Developmental Psychologist and Professor of Psychology and Pediatrics in Pitt’s School of Education and School of Medicine. His work places a focus on infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at developmental risk with applied program evaluation and participatory action research in “real-world” community contexts. He was honored by receiving the 2014 Distinguished Fellows Alumni Award by Penn State College of Education.
